Cool down after the competition
After the sprint in Hartberg, there is free entry to the swimming pool right next to the CC. On stages 4 and 5, two small lakes, ‘Rauchwarter See’ and ‘Greini-See’ (backgroud Competion area “Ringkogel”), are also waiting for you to cool off with free entry.

We are happy about the many registrations for our event. We will do our best so that you can take home a wonderful running experience in 6 different areas.

Entries
At the official entry deadline, 550 runners have now registered. There is still a window until 25 June! Then only entries in the Open classes are still possible.

Course length
At stage 2 in the Open categories, incorrect course lengths were given. The correct values are: Open A = 4.3 km/130; Open B = 3.2 km/80; Open C = 4.0 km/75; Open D = 2.1 km/60. We apologise.

The route lengths have now been finalised. There may be minor changes to the urban stages due to road closures at short notice. You can see it under competition

Winner prizes for overall results
As in previous years, the Chamber of Agriculture will provide the famous, unique Styrian pumpkin seed oil for all podium places in the overall forest stage classification.

Course length
We are in the final stage of planning the forest courses. The course lengths should be published at the weekend.
For the urban stages, we are currently exploring the possibility of opening up private gardens to make the routes even more interesting. There will be a few surprises, such as a tunnel through the Schlossberg offering exciting route choices.  However, the estimated times should suffice for now.

For the overall ranking (award ceremony) of the first two stages, the prizes are the Graz landmark “Uhrturm” in gold, silver and bronze. produced by Maximilian Gorfer.

Stage 2 - Tunnel as an attraction
For the first time, we can use the tunnel system (including the cathedral in the mountain) inside of the City mountain “Schlossberg”. There will be exciting route choices into and out of the tunnel. Which entrance of two possibilities you choose will be crucial.

Start Stage 1 is fixed
The starting position for the first stage is fixed. Thanks to the co-operation of the ÖWG housing association, we can use many plots of land for interesting locations and routes. Including the starting point.  We can also use land belonging to public institutions to find good hiding places.

A walk up the Schlossberg offers impressive views, from the iconic clock tower down the historic staircase and across the old town.

Stage 4 Location Update
Due to extensive storm damage in autumn 2024, Stage 4 has been relocated to Rauchwarter See. The new terrain features detailed topography along a main ridge and is mostly easy to run. A swim in the lake offers a refreshing finish
